Our Out-of-School Care Program is designed to provide a safe and caring environment for
children enrolled in half-day Kindergarten programs and Grades 1-6 who require before
and after-school care. We offer high-quality care and learning opportunities. We provide
a variety of structured activities suitable for school-age children that focus on the child’s
socio~ emotiona~ physica~ cognitive and creative development

Pacesetters Out of School Care offers an active schedule that includes field trips, reading,
gym games, movies, arts and crafts, tutoring, swimming, skating, sledding, and team
sports. Our Out-of-School Care aims to offer inclusive, accessible, affordable, quality
childcare for all At Pacesetters, we strive to meet the needs of children and their parents.
Staff members are dedicated to supporting children and aiding them in developing
positive self-esteem and a positive attitude, as well as opportunities for social interaction,
learning, and increasing independence and responsibility.

The program is guided by the belief that each child is unique and has many different
interests, which is why there are opportunities for children to be involved in structured
activities and free play. Teachers provide each child with a varied, exciting and
developmentally appropriate program, which encourages active participation and
provides first-hand experience.

Our programs are staffed by fully qualified, professionally trained personnel All our
staff currently hold or are completing their Early Childhood Certificate, Education
Assistant Certificate and Early Childhood Diploma.
All staff working in the program hold the following certifications: Alberta Childcare
Certification, CPR and first aid, and a current Criminal Record Check
Pacesetters ensures and maintains the required combined ratio of children to teachers in
this group to provide adequate supervision and safety.

A non-refundable fee of $5O is applicable for registration.
A pair of socks is required for play in the indoor playground. A pair of indoor shoes is
necessary in case of emergency. Parents are encouraged to provide daycare lunch for
their children as they might still be hungry after school especially if they are picked up
late. Please provide some supplies for your child, such as a scratchpad/doddle pad,
markers, crayons, and coloured pencils.
